We are now offering high quality, large format, 1440 dpi inkjet halftone positives of your work. This service is geared to the artist experienced in making their own inkjet positives on an Epson, but does not have access to a large format printer. Inkjet positives are much more affordable than imageset positives. There is no complicated dot pattern output, the native stochastic printer dithering is used which resemlbles a random dot aquatint.

All images should be no larger that 16x20" and be in grayscale mode and 300 dpi. Transparencies are printed with the Epson 3000 with opaque black ink on Posjet transparency film. Posjet film is not waterproof so handle carefully with dry hands.

You may include several images in one transparency at no extra cost. We print the transparencies at 93% ink output reduction. This is enough to avoid having to use a separate exposure to an aquatint screen. You may need to darken your highlight levels slightly to compensate for this step. If large areas of black are present in your image, some printer head tracking may be slightly visible. This usually is not apparent after etching. If this is the case in your image, a seperate exposure of an aquatint screen is advised and no image reduction used.
