Big Print Block Party May 19, 2012 Carolina Beach, NC Call for Big Printers! The loose theme for this year is the Golden Ratio, 1:1.618, and the size of the blocks will be the same, 48 x 77 inches. Several artists expressed their dislike of the 4x8 foot format so this year I have decided to go with the 'Golden Mean' or 'Divine Proportion'. No other size will be accepted.

My mission is to put together a group of 10 artists already experienced in the medium of relief that want to work large.

All interested artists should submit 3-5 images, black and white relief prints and/or drawings preferred. Images should be about 800 pixels on the long dimension. No huge files please but we need to be able to see your work. Also include a brief bio and contact info.
Submission deadline is midnight Feb 24.

Once accepted, the fee to participate is $100. This fee helps cover cost of materials and event related expenses. The artist only needs to show up with a carved and sealed block ready for printing. Each artist will get to print 3 prints. Printers will need to be at the event early and stay all day.

Space is limited for printers so I am requesting that any artists who have already printed in both of the previous events to not submit this year. I welcome all artists who have printed in the past to come and help the new printers ink their blocks.
